Know the Architect

Driven by a profound interest in history, heritage, and architecture, Purvi perceives historic buildings not merely as physical structures but as living embodiments of stories, identity, and culture. Her approach to architecture is rooted in a sensitive understanding of the intricate relationship between built form, context, and community.

With a strong academic foundation, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of structural systems, she earned her master's degree with a specialization in conservation.

Involved in a broad spectrum of architectural projects both independently and as an senior conservation architect with K. Unwala Architects, Purvi's practice is informed by a rigorous adherence to conservation ethics and the principles of preservation. Her work consistently aims to safeguard the authenticity and structural integrity of heritage environments.

An educator with over twelve years of teaching experience, Purvi has contributed to architectural education across diverse subjects, including Architectural Design, History of Architecture, and Building Services.
