Matheran
Matheran, established by the British as a hill station, is an eco-sensitive region known for its colonial-era bunglows that harmonizes with the natural landscape.
Centrally located within its site, Neral Villa is a rectangular, load-bearing stone masonry structure on a raised plinth. It comprises front and rear verandahs and a double-height central hall connecting adjoining rooms. The building is finished in lime plaster and roofed with G.I. sheets supported on timber trusses, with timber-framed glass openings on all sides.
Restoration included repair of the timber trussed roof, stone masonry walls , Timber façade ,sprucing up interior spaces and upgraded lighting to retain structural integrity and visual character.
